Management
Patrick Wethington
Vice President of Sales
Mr. Wethington has 15 years of experience in the medical device
industry. Prior to joining CHF Solutions, Inc., Mr. Wethington served
as an Area Vice President for CRM, AF and Cardiology field operations
with St. Jude Medical, Inc. Mr. Wethington has held a variety of
leadership positions in sales, marketing, new product planning and
clinical operations with both Fortune 500 and successful start up
organizations.
Mr. Wethington served as one of Endocardial Solutions, Inc. (ESI)
original Senior Executive Management team members from November
1996 until January 2005 when ESI was acquired by St. Jude Medical,
Inc. From June 1992 to October 1996, Mr. Wethington held various
positions of increasing responsibility at Elli Lilly-CPI then CPI-Guidant
within the clinical, marketing and new product planning disciplines.
From 1989 to June 1992 while completing and graduating with honors
with a BA in Political Science and Economics from Clemson University
and a MBA in Strategic Marketing and Planning from the Carlson School
of Management, Mr. Wethington served as a strategic sales and marketing,
planning and management internship consultant for several organizations,
including 3M Corp., Target Corp., Synet Service Corporation and
the Embassy of Spain.
John OMahony
Vice President of Operations and R&D
Mr. O'Mahony has 17 years of experience in the
medical device industry and is an inventor with 33 US patents. Prior
to CHF Solutions, Mr. O'Mahony was a Senior Technical R&D Manager
with responsibility for system, controls and pneumatic engineering
at Nellcor Puritan Bennett's ICU ventilator division. He acquired
start-up experience as a member of the team that set up Puritan
Bennett in Ireland in both Operations and R&D. Previous experience
also includes manufacturing experience at Analog Devices B.V. Ireland.
Mr. O’Mahony has a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
and industrial management from the University of Limerick, Limerick
Ireland.
John R. Wigneswaran MD
Senior Medical Director, Medical Affairs
Dr. Wigneswaran is a Nephrologist with a keen interest in Acute
Decompensated Heart Failure - particularly with how it can impact
renal function, the effectiveness of diuretic therapy and quality
of life. Dr. Wigneswaran received his Bachelor's degree from Cornell
University and his medical degree from Tufts University School of
Medicine in Boston. Shortly thereafter he completed his Internal
Medicine Residency at Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University and
his Nephrology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell
University where he also engaged in further study in the Division
of Hypertension. Previously, Dr. Wigneswaran served as Medical Director
in Medical Affairs at Johnson and Johnson, and is currently still
practicing as a Nephrologist in Dayton, Ohio where he divides his
time as Assistant Clinical Professor of Nephrology at Wright State
University School of Medicine training medical residents, and seeing
patients in his private practice. Dr. Wigneswaran is certified by
both the Boards of Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is a member
of the American Society of Nephrology.
